サンフランシスコのジャパンタウンに位置する紀伊国屋書店ビルの二階ロビーのエリアに、毎月季節や節句などをテーマにカスタム制作した書道を展示する事になりました。三月から開始で、今回の作品は来週頃に飾られるそうです。３月３日は雛祭り、桃の節句ということもあり、春を感じさせる様な作風で自詠みの詩を書きました。かなり大きな作品で、天井から吊るされるようです。毎月作品は新たに書き下ろしていく予定なので、紀伊国屋にお立ち寄りの際はぜひ。
My new project has began: seasonal custom Japanese calligraphy installation at Kinokuniya Bookstore in Japan Town. I have just finished making one for March, which is going to be hang from the ceiling in the lobby area on the second floor of Kinokuniya building. March is the beginning of Spring; all the greens and flowers glow and bloom, animals wake up from the long sleep of winter. This seasonal calligraphy work will be newly written every month, with my orginal Japanese short poems and traditional phrases. Please stop by and peek when you are coming near Japan town!
